For the first time in its history, Sri Lanka’s global brand “Lion Beer” unveiled its presence in the Indian market, a statement issued on the matter said.
As an initiative made by the Deputy High Commissioner of Sri Lanka in Southern India Dr. Venkateshwaran to promote Sri Lankan products in the Indian market, necessary steps were taken to collaborate with M/S Lion Brewery PLC, Sri Lanka and M/S Fairmacs (Pvt) Ltd, Chennai, India to introduce Lion Beer in the Indian duty-free market.
Officially marking its commercial presence, a hamper of Lion Beer was handed over to Chairman M/S Fairmacs (Pvt) Ltd Sudhir Shete by the Deputy High Commissioner at the launching ceremony held at the Mission on 7 March 2023.
